CHANGES HAVE OCCURRED! PLEASE READ BELOW:
I tried to elicit help from several people, and other than the folks that I assisted for the past
two years in my professional life, I haven't even received a note of encouragement, let alone any financial assistance...
To those of you who see this, and have a new car, a home, vacations each year, and money in the bank - why hasn't anyone even
sent a LITTLE BIT to us? If you think this is some sort of a scam, I assure you, it is not. I can document all
that I've said here: both myself and my daughter give of ourselves as often as we can, and this is the one time WE need
help, and yet no one steps up to the plate?
I did manage to sell one vehicle, and get an older RV to make the journey...however, it used a lot
of gas, and the money ren out sooner than I expected. We are now residing in it at our new location, and I am frantically
trying to get a job here, but nothing has come along yet. If you or anyone you know can help, PLEASE, have them send ANY
financial assistance to the address listed below - it will be forwarded to us. THANK YOU!

This site is here for one reason alone: I need money, so that my daughter and I can move to another state. Rhode Island
is getting very expensive, and I can't afford to live here anymore.
I have a full-time job and I also receive child
support, but without someone else to share the bills, and no family to help, I am feeling trapped. I have been trying for
some time to sell two used vehicles that I have, to buy a conversion van to be able to drive out west, where housing is less
expensive. I would also be open to borrowing or renting some sort of motor home or recreational vehicle to travel in, but
I do not have a major credit card. I have tried to trade both vehicles for a conversion van (how many of you know someone
who has one that just SITS there, collecting dust?), but no luck. Every time I have a few hundred saved, something else breaks
on the vehicle I drive, and it sets me back.
That is why I have decided to ask for money. Not a lot - I've found suitable
vans for around $3000. I have a co-worker that has one for $3500, and it's older, but in extremely good condition. That is
how much I would need. If you know anyone who may be interested, I will sign over ownership rights to the two vehicles, which
they can in turn donate to a charitable organization, and get a tax deduction for! I can't do that, because I do not itemize
my deductions.
I am not looking for a handout. Just a hand up. I have spent a lot of my own time donating to worthy
causes, such as food banks and community action agencies, Head Start programs, animal shelters, Habitat for Humanity, as well
as a nine-month commitment to the AmeriCorps program (this is documented - I can provide certificates and letters of
thanks, etc. if you would like to see them). I learned a long time ago that if you need help, you should ask. The worst that
could happen is maybe getting a "no" - but you need to try. I am very proud of my daughter, too - she is volunteering her
time this summer at the local Salvation Army, for the second year in a row.
If you think you can help, or know
someone that can, please drop me a line. Thank you in advance for any help that you may be able to provide...
